Artist Support and Fundraising Policy
1. Purpose. VoiceFund provides tools intended to help artists receive support and organize eligible fundraising campaigns. The exact features available depend on the published platform configuration.
2. Artist support. Supporters may support artists through the payment methods enabled on the relevant page. Support is not an investment and does not create shares, ownership rights, debt or guaranteed returns.
3. Campaign accuracy. Campaign creators must provide truthful information about the purpose of the campaign, the intended use of funds, the target and relevant dates, and any material conditions or limitations. Campaigns must not misrepresent their purpose, beneficiaries or expected outcomes.
4. Campaign funds. Campaign funds are kept separate from personal artist earnings. The amount shown as raised reflects verified contributions. Paystack processing fees are disclosed and deducted before crediting. Campaign funds are not withdrawable as personal earnings; they are used for the approved project through administrator-recorded expenses.
5. Review and expenses. Campaigns are reviewed by an administrator before they go live; only approved, live campaigns accept contributions. Project expenses are recorded by authorised administrators and cannot exceed available campaign funds. Creators must not claim an expense was approved unless it was.
6. Targets and completion. Direct Paystack contributions are limited to the remaining target at checkout; a verified payment already underway can still count if the target is reached meanwhile. Reaching a target does not mean all funds have been spent or every activity completed. What happens when a campaign ends early or misses its target has not yet been finalised and is subject to review.
7. Fraud and misuse. VoiceFund may investigate suspected fraud, misleading descriptions, unauthorized transactions or misuse of funds and, where justified, pause or close a campaign, request evidence or take other proportionate action consistent with applicable law.
8. Concerns. Report a campaign concern through Contact & Complaints.
Contest Rules
1. General. Each contest page publishes its eligibility, registration, deadlines, entry requirements, judging procedure and prize conditions. Read and follow the rules for the contest you enter.
2. Registration. Where a contest requires a fee, the amount and accepted payment methods are shown before registration. The default entry option is ₦2,000 or 40 VoiceCoins; the actual amount is set per contest and must be confirmed on each contest page. Opening checkout does not register you — registration is confirmed only after Paystack verification or a completed VoiceCoin payment.
3. Submissions. Upload content in the specified format within the stated deadlines. Submissions must not infringe copyright or other rights; you need permission for any music, instrumental, recording or other material used.
4. Judging and results. Winners are determined by judges scoring entries against the criteria published for the contest. VoiceFund does not currently offer paid public voting. No contestant is promised a particular result.
5. Disqualification. Fraud, impersonation, manipulation, copyright infringement or serious rule violations may result in review or disqualification under the applicable contest rules.
6. Prizes. Prize amounts, eligibility and payment conditions are stated on each contest page. Prizes are not guaranteed or fully funded unless the contest page says so.
7. Complaints. Report a concern through Contact & Complaints.
Music and Content Policy
1. Ownership. Artists generally retain ownership of music and other content they own and upload. Uploading does not transfer ownership to VoiceFund.
2. Permissions. You must have the rights or permissions needed to upload or authorize use of content, including musical compositions, sound recordings, instrumentals, images, videos and artwork.
3. Platform licence. You grant VoiceFund only the limited permissions necessary to host, display, promote and operate the features you choose to use. Any commercial licensing or music-distribution arrangement must be covered by separate terms.
4. Prohibited content. Do not upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, impersonating or abusive.
5. Rights complaints. A rights holder or authorized representative may contact VoiceFund with: the URL of the affected content; identification of the original work; evidence of ownership or authority; a description of the alleged infringement; and contact details for follow-up. VoiceFund may request more information and assess the complaint before acting.
6. Enforcement. VoiceFund may restrict access to content or take other proportionate action where a credible rights violation is identified, subject to applicable law and appropriate review.
