Terms of Service

1. Introduction

VoiceFund is a music-focused platform operated under the Voice of Melody Movement initiative. It is designed to help musicians showcase their talents, connect with supporters, participate in contests, promote their work and access eligible fundraising opportunities.

By accessing or using VoiceFund, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service and the applicable policies published on the platform. If you do not agree to these terms, you should discontinue use of the relevant services.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Users must provide accurate information when creating an account and must not impersonate another person.

Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and for activity carried out through their accounts, subject to applicable law. Users must notify VoiceFund promptly if they suspect unauthorized access to their accounts.

VoiceFund may request reasonable information to verify identity, account ownership, artist status or eligibility for particular activities.

3. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

• Impersonate another person or artist.
• Upload content they do not have permission to use.
• Manipulate contests, engagement or payment systems.
• Commit fraud or attempt unauthorized access.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
• Upload unlawful, deceptive or harmful content.
• Circumvent platform security or payment controls.

4. Artist Content

Artists remain responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions for music, recordings, images, videos, artwork and other materials they upload. Uploading content does not automatically transfer ownership of that content to VoiceFund.

Artists grant VoiceFund only the permissions reasonably necessary to host, display, promote and operate the services they choose to use, subject to the applicable feature terms and any separate written agreement. Any distribution, licensing, monetization or commercial exploitation beyond ordinary platform operation must be governed by the applicable terms or a separate agreement.

5. Contests

Contestants must follow the published rules for each contest, including eligibility requirements, submission formats, deadlines, fees and judging procedures. Contest outcomes must be determined according to the rules disclosed for the particular contest.

VoiceFund may investigate credible reports of fraud, manipulation, impersonation or rule violations. Prizes, funding targets and contest outcomes are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in the published contest terms. See Contest Rules.

6. Payments and Digital Services

Users must use authorized payment methods and provide accurate payment information. A payment is not considered successful merely because a checkout page was opened. VoiceFund requires verification from its payment provider before crediting an account or recording a contribution.

Applicable payment fees, platform fees, withdrawal conditions and refund rules are disclosed before the relevant transaction. See Payments, Refunds & VoiceCoins.

7. Fundraising and Artist Support

Artist support and fundraising contributions are not investments in VoiceFund or an artist. They do not automatically create ownership, shares, debt rights or an entitlement to financial returns.

Campaign creators must provide accurate information about their campaigns and use campaign funds consistently with the disclosed purpose and applicable platform rules. Campaign contributions and personal artist earnings are kept as separate balances.

8. Suspension and Enforcement

VoiceFund may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including removing content, restricting a feature or suspending an account where justified by the circumstances and applicable law. Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to explain or appeal a decision.

9. Service Availability

VoiceFund will make reasonable efforts to maintain the platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or the success of every upload, payment or interaction. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages and other circumstances may affect availability.

10. Changes to These Terms

VoiceFund may update these terms when necessary. Material changes should be communicated appropriately, with the effective date stated.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Nigerian law. Disputes should first be raised through the VoiceFund contact channels where appropriate. Nothing in these terms removes any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
